Happy New Years Eve!

Well folks...we made it. We all made it through 2009. I know at times it seemed like there wasn't a chance we could take one more step...make it one more breath...but alas here we are. For us 2009 brought a lot of change into our household. Literally our housing changed yet again. Go figure. BUT this time I am actually content with my situation. I love our townhouse. I think we may actually make it to this time next year living under the same roof. Boy, a summer without moving...do you realize how amazing that would be?! So big change number one was moving into the townhouse and finally having enough room (and even a little room to grow if we choose.)

Big change number two (by the way...these are not in order of happening....just the order of popping into my head) loosing my dearly beloved father in love. He passed away March 28th. I praise Jesus everyday that without a shadow of a doubt I know he is in heaven. I see little glimpses of him in my life all the time and it's such a sweet, gentle reminder that he is always watching over us and that our heavenly Father, Jesus is just a prayer away. The whole event has made me such a stronger person. I miss him deeply and some days are still very hard but it's part of the whole process. We're pulling through.

Next big change my JOB!!! First off, I can finally be totally 100% happy about this situation! WAHOO! Even in this "AMAZING" economy I have been sooo blessed! A year ago tomorrow marks my one year anniversary with Sorenson Communications. Let me just say, "PRAISE YOU JESUS!!!" That place has made our life a lot better. I am SOOO thankful for being allowed the opportunity to work there. I am also thankful for my other job that I started in October with the school district. I am sad to know that my days are numbered and I will only be with the wonderful staff and students for this year but it's still been a big highlight of 2009.

Our church. Let me just say BLESSED! We LOVE our church family. Over the past year we have gotten a little bit more involved and have certainly made new friends through our small group. Gotta love that place. OH, and the new building! BLESSED!!!

The last biggest thing that happened in 2009 would be my little brother getting married and his wife getting pregnant and then them moving out of state. HUGE life changes. I am so happy he married Tarin (she's been part of the family FOREVER) and I'm excited for them to soon have baby Lydia in their lives. Moving out of state....no me gusta! I'm still heartbroken...

So there you have it...my 2009. Now there are a million other things that happened (obviously) but those are the big things. I guess you could say the things that have affected my life the most. I already know that God is preparing me and my heart for big things in 2010. I look forward to what He will show me.

I am so blessed...so very very blessed.
